Performance Psychology

Performance psychology examines the psychological factors that impact optimal human performance. Example factors include motivation, confidence, attention, anxiety, decision-making and emotion regulation.

The work of a performance psychology consultant is to help individuals and organisations identify relevant factors and then design and deliver programmes for optimal performance.

This can be particularly suitable for those working in high pressure or high risk environments, or with significant responsibility attached to their role. Domains include the performing arts, the military, sport, business, emergency services, diplomatic services and the healthcare profession.

Anne holds an MSc and PhD in Performance Psychology and is passionate about creating optimal conditions for people to “be at their best”, whatever their domain.
